⁶⁴ When his accusers observed the honor that was paid to him in this proclamation and saw him clothed in his purple robe, they all fled. ⁶⁵ The king also honored him by enrolling him as one of his Chief Friends, and he appointed him as commander and governor of the province. ⁶⁶ Then Jonathan returned in peace and joy to Jerusalem.
